Though I enjoy the movie, I think what unrealistic about this scene (not shown in this clip) was that the head chef saying to the lady chef afterward "Oh, you know that you have to use leftover rice". A compliment to a very basic skill which should not come from this cruel head chef. For his character setting, he could have just walked away.

Fired rice for Asian people is like comfort food. We have our own recipes for our families. Just egg rice and oil and seasoning made it different.

As thai, I totally agree with Uncle Roger when it comes to fried rice. For the actress she cooks good fried rice. Actually I feel sorry for the nerdy guy, he is chef Big owner of western cuisine fine-dining restaurant in Bangkok Call เธญเธขเธฒเธเธ—เธณเนเธ•เนˆเน„เธกเนˆเธญเธขเธฒเธเธเธดเธ™ mean โ€œLove to cook but donโ€™t want to eatโ€ . His food really pretty good and more than a month to queue up. But the plot of this scene make him a bad guy. if Uncle Roger have a time , Pls come to visit his restaurant. I think you will have a great time.
